Some customers may not want to start from video communication right away. Sometimes the help they need requires sending a link to an article or the invoice for services you provide. Video support would only prolong the process in such cases. Chat can be used as first-step support, while video calls can be reserved for more complex inquiries. Or suppose you’re on workation and your internet connection is not at its finest. You still want to support your customers but meetings are not an option. Don’t resign from keeping in touch with customers, simply solve their problems using chat.
You and your customers can send attachments on Vicodo chat.
How to schedule a chat-only appointment?
Go to settings by clicking on the icon. You will land in the Global settings tab. In the first section, Layout, choose the second appointment type: Customers can start a chat. Operators can request a video call at any time. Click Save to apply changes.
From now on, your meetings will be based on chat, but in case a video call is needed - you can start it. The customers, however, have no information about it, so we recommend asking them on chat if you can start a video meeting.
To start a chat-only appointment open a particular case and send your message from the dashboard.
From the customer’s perspective, chat-only appointments start from the Invitation page with one button only - Open chat.
